River Community Clinic opened on April 29, 2003 to provide primary healthcare to the River Communities. Conveniently located adjacent to the River Hospital, River Community Clinic provides comprehensive primary family care services. We welcome year-round and seasonal residents, as well as visitors and military families. Services provided include: Women's Health, Men's Health, Infant, Child, and Adolescent Health, Immunizations and Allergy Shots, Osteopathic Evaluations, Skin Care, and Access to Inpatient & Swing Care.

Our providers see patients Monday through Friday and are happy to accommodate same day walk-in/call-in patients as best as the schedule allows, and all have admitting privileges at River Hospital. The clinic staff also includes Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses and Certified Nurse's Aides. The River Community Clinic is here to take care of all your day-to-day health concerns.

River Community Clinic's On Staff Providers

Jeniffer Wilkie Alberry, FNP-C, is a native of the North Country and a 1996 graduate of Thousand Islands Central School. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Russell Sage College, Troy, NY, in 2000 and her Master of Science in Nursing at SUNY Upstate Medical University College of Nursing in 2004. She holds certification from the American Nursing Credentialing Center and in Basic Life Support/CPR and Pediatric Advanced Life Support. Mrs. Alberry performed her Preceptorship at River Community Clinic and Hospital and joined the staff September 2006.
Jill Peterson, D.O., joined the staff in August 2005. A native of northern New York, Dr. Peterson was raised in Lowville (Lewis County); earned a B.A. in psychology from Canisius College in Buffalo; did coursework for a Masters degree at Ohio State University; earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2002; and completed her residency in Family Practice at Wilson Memorial Regional Medical Center, Johnson City, NY, in 2005. Dr Peterson's professional interests include family medicine, women's health, osteopathic manipulative medicine and she is certified in manual medicine.
Cynthia Simpson, Family Nurse Practitioner, graduated from Jefferson Community College as a registered nurse in 1980, completed the Obstetric/Gynecologic Nurse Practitioner Program to become a Women's Health Care Specialist in 1993. She continued her studies at Community General Hospital in Syracuse and became Family Nurse Practitioner, Certified in1997, and is trained in Basic Life Support, Advance Cardiac Life Support, Advance Trauma Life Support and Pediatric Advance Support. Ms. Simpson has been a member of River Community Clinic and Hospital staff since the opening day in April 2003.
Deborah M. Macsherry, MSN, FNP-C is a native of Mississippi and a graduate of the University of Mississippi Medical Center School of Nursing in Jackson. She earned a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degree in Nursing and a Post-Master's degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner at UMMC and holds certification from American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Mrs. Macsherry joined the River Community Clinic and Hospital October 2007.
